Ramsey grew up in Hampton Roads and is very well-acquainted with the area. He married his wife, Victoria, while they were both pursuing their undergraduate degrees. Ramsey graduated from Carleton University with an Honors in Economics. After undergrad, Ramsey and Victoria attended law school together at the University of the District of Columbia. Ramsey loved law school and excelled academically. Following his admission to the Virginia Bar, Ramsey worked at the Norfolk Office of the Public Defender.

Ramsey has represented hundreds of clients and has amassed extensive knowledge of criminal law and procedure. As lead attorney at trial, Ramsey’s “Dismissed” and “Not Guilty” record (excluding deferred dispositions) includes: driving under the influence (DUI), refusal to submit to breath test, possession of marijuana, trespassing, resisting arrest, assault and battery, assault and battery against a family member, disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice, failure to appear, contempt of court, intentional destruction of property, failure to register as a sex offender, illegal gambling, credit card fraud, petit larceny, concealment, littering, possession of paraphernalia, concealed firearm, public masturbation, indecent exposure, brandishing a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in a public area, discharging firearm in public, reckless handling of a firearm, failure to report accident (hit and run), reckless driving, drunk in public, and more.

Additionally, he has successfully argued for the exclusion of evidence on Constitutional and evidentiary grounds. He has also successfully argued for the dismissal of charges on technical grounds, including by arguing that charges were improperly initiated.

Victoria Alnaif

Victoria enjoys getting to know her clients and building meaningful connections with those she works with. She pays particular attention to the details of the case, and strives to provide personalized, dedicated, and thorough service to each client. Victoria strives for the highest ethical standards, and appreciates the ability to take care of her clients in some of the most vulnerable and important times in their lives. She takes this responsibility seriously, going the extra mile and devoting much of her leisure to thinking about cases.

Victoria, originally from Canada, became a naturalized US citizen in 2016. Excelling in law school, she graduated from the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law, with the highest academic honors, summa cum laude. While in law school, Victoria worked diligently in the Housing and Consumer Law and Immigration Clinics, handling a variety of cases. With a particular interest in criminal defense, as a law student, Victoria interned with the Fredericksburg Public Defender’s Office and the DC Public Defender Service.
